Refund Report and new member stats
In March, 840 veterans joined AMVETS but unfortunately 354 don’t have emails.. The email below was sent to 486 of our 840 new members with emails Please work on getting more emails. The effort will pay AMVETS dividends in the long run. Take a look at the emails by Post list. You will notice some Posts (in red) are not submitting emails. Member engagement at the HQ level is through our bi-weekly AMVETS update. Currently half our members are not engaged by HQ. Engagement equals retention. The report for the end of Feb is attached.
118 new life members joined in March with a median age of 55. Six were women veterans. At only 5% women veterans in our ranks we are behind the power curve. Stats show 15% women in the military. The first person to recruit 10 women veterans get $100!
In March 705 veterans joined as annual members. The median age of the annual members is 57 years old and only 56 of the new annual joins are women.

We appreciate your honorable military service. You are an exclusive courageous American. Less than .5% of Americans step up to the plate to serve in the military. AMVETS is managed by and for veterans. We started helping veteran’s in 1944 and continue to assist in an evolving dynamic world.
We need your help to target the needs and develop solutions to problems facing veterans. Our National Service Officers are available to assist all veterans navigate the VA claims system. We lead veterans service organization’s in submitting fully developed claims. AMVETS Career Centers placed 500 veterans in jobs last year. Posts throughout the country have initiatives to place homeless veterans in shelters, provide clothing and household items and bring awareness to the problems veterans face.
