DRAFT CBL AMENDMENT SUBJECT: Amend National Constitution
Subject– Free Membership Veterans Day

WHEREAS, as a Veterans Service Organization it is our duty to honor veterans, and WHEREAS, each year, The National Membership Director may offer on Veteran Day a 9 month free membership, now therefore be itRESOLVED, that AMVETS National Constitution Article IV: Membership be amended to add the following language: Section 7. National Headquarters will offer a 9 months free membership annually for all eligible veterans through its online membership system from November 11 .Eligible veterans must not have had a free membership from AMVETS in the past. Departments and posts can waive their portion of membership dues.

WHEREAS, as a Veterans Service Organization it is our duty to honor Student veterans, and WHEREAS, each year, The National Membership Director may offer free Student Veterans membership, which are attending college / Trade School. These Student Veterans will be AMVETS future!, now therefore be itRESOLVED, that AMVETS National Constitution Article IV: Membership be amended to add the following language: Section 7. National Headquarters will offer a free Students Veterans membership for all eligible veterans through its online membership system. Departments and posts can waive their portion of membership dues.

WHEREAS, as a Veterans Service Organization it is our duty to honor active duty service members, and
WHEREAS, each year,  National shall offer free membership for any Active duty service members serving our great country!, now therefore be itRESOLVED, that AM VETS National Constitution Article IV: Membership be amended to add the following language: Section 7. National Headquarters shalll offer free membership for any Active Duty Service members through its online membership system. Departments and posts can waive their portion of membership dues.
