This week we recap the past weekend’s events, with volunteers ‘retiring the wreaths’ at Arlington National Cemetery and hundreds of other locations nationwide.
We have several stories about how volunteers show their patriotic support, each in their own unique way. Of course, that is how the wreath-laying tradition got started over twenty five years ago, when a Wreath-Maker from Maine gave back in the way he knew how.
And did you notice the section called “This Week We Remembered” down below? Read the names slowly.
We say their names and we remember because…
“In truth a person dies twice, once when he stops breathing, and a second time when somebody mentions his or her name for the last time. Join us in December when over one million volunteers nationwide, will say the names of a million fallen out loud, to make sure they will never be forgotten.”
